About Us
“In many ways, the work of a critic is easy. We enjoy a position over those who offer their work and selves up for judgement. We thrive on negative criticism which is fun to write and to read. But the bitter truth we critics must face, is that in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is more meaningful than our criticism designating it so.” – Anton Ego – Ratatouille

About the website:
One Movie, Five Views was launched on June 20th, 2008, with a review of Get Smart. We are a group of freelance writers from Toronto, ON, Canada. What makes us unique and stand out from other websites is that five people will each watch the same movie, write a review, and then form a consensus. The idea behind the website is five different views or opinions on the same movie.
Our main content includes reviews of movies newly released to theatres, as well as reviews and profiles of titles new to DVD. We also frequently feature opinion pieces on different aspects of the entertainment industry, and reviews of film related books and soundtracks. We also share interviews with notable names in the industry, and offer notable pieces of entertainment related news from time to time.
All of our reviews are free of offensive language and any spoilers will be marked in advance. As for comments, we always welcome the thoughts and opinions of our readers and will try to find an answer to any of your questions. We often try to respond, but comments on more recent posts and ones that are directly related to what we wrote are more likely to get a reply. However, we will not upload any overly offensive comments, so please keep things civilized.
